Simple vs Complex




These are select photos from a series of ten simple to complex pictures.  I used iron bars, wooden fences, and metal grating as a subject matter.  In some of the pictures the structures themselves become more intricate, in others the layering of bars or shadows is what makes the pictures more complex.

Since most of the fences did not have color themselves I took the pictures so that there would be vivid color to draw the eye.  The four pictures above particularly take good advantage of this.
